About Your Instructor
Christy Edwards is a Certified Baby Sign Language Specialist. She is a wife and mother of two beautiful and busy children. She fell in love with sign language as a child (4 years of age) and so understands what a powerful tool signing can be for children. She waited until college to learn the bulk of her signing knowledge and has assisted in interpreting for several large Christmas productions in her area. Christy has taught Sign Language to both of her children as an attempt to gain experience in teaching, however, what she found was far more important. She found that sign language has brought peace into their home and reduced the frustration in her children dramatically.
In teaching them a few signs and using them herself, Christy gave her children the tools to be able to communicate exactly what they wanted, before they could speak, resulting in less frustration and more satisfaction. She is pleased with the difference signing has made in her family and she can't wait to share it with yours! She has made it her mission to help you turn your shining star into a "signing star!"
